The Train Man

The Train Man

Verse 1

He is a train driving cowboy working hard day and night

He had dreamed of driving trains for all of his life

Oh how he loved to see the countryside

Singing songs along the way

Like the Folsom Prison Blues or anything about a train

And the only thing that he loved more than driving his train

Is his girl at home who is waiting for him at the end of every day

Chorus

The train man riding the steel horses upon the long iron road

The train man blows the whistle for the children that he passes as he goes

The train man, oh the train man is on his way back home

Verse 2

As we all take for granted just how lucky that we are

The train man keeps working taking freight near and far

And he goes about his business with a big heart and a smile

Cos he loves his job and he loves that train every single time he drives

But he has a home to go to and a lady there who waits

When it’s quittin’ time, he’ll be there with her

At the end of every day

Chorus

The train man riding the steel horses upon the long iron road

The train man blows the whistle for the children that he passes as he goes

The train man, oh the train man is on his way back home

Outro

The train man….oh the train man…….

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
